i can't get enough of these little chickadees, they are so adorable and fun to paint. the tiny sparrow below him is also pretty cute:

also, just to remind you, we'll be at parlay studios in jersey city this saturday to celebrate kanibal home's new upcycled clothing line - there will be an open bar, great food catered by local satis bistro, live music, and last but not least, a few of our little feathered friends!!!

finch will be hanging out with KANIBAL HOME at this exciting party! it's a celebration of their new upcycled one-off clothing line, "rose cottage." there will be fashion, music, food and drinks, and we will be there in the merchant area, showing off some of our wares! maybe we will see you there!

hi everyone!!
wow so sorry for the total lack of blogging since the spring. unacceptable! but we're back, and have a few exciting things to share...
first of all, i know we haven't posted work in a while, so here are a few birds that flew the nest recently for you to see (a black-capped chickadee, a mountain finch, a little blue finch and a winter wren):

secondly, we finally started our very own ETSY shop! it's very fun and exciting!! you can now purchase finch goodies online if you want. you can check out the shop and the items we currently have for sale here!!

thirdly, we'll be showing some things at a couple upcoming craft events. the first one is tomorrow (saturday, november 20) at KANIBAL HOME, in celebration of MAKE MY CITY week. we'll be there all day with some wooden birds, paintings, and maybe a birdhouse or two!

next, just in time for the holidays, we'll be selling our wares in prospect park south in brooklyn, at the same fine art & crafts open house on marlborough road that we participated in last year. that's december 5, and here's the invitation:

we are finally getting around to updating this blog, apologies for the delay! we have some good news to get it going...

first of all, a few of our birds can now be found at KANIBAL HOME - an absolutely wonderfully lovely shop right in our neighborhood. you can check out the birdies we've got in there at the moment, and read the really nice feature kristen scalia (the shop's owner) posted about us here. and if you haven't been in yet (i'm sure you have if you live in jersey city) i highly recommend you stop by kanibal home!! she's got the cutest clothes and beautiful vintage home furnishings in there.., jewelry, decor, crafts.. all very unique and affordable.

secondly, finch will be in brooklyn this sunday! we'll be selling our wares at a fine art & crafts open house on marlborough road in prospect park south. if you're around, you should stop by! i'll have a few paintings, and james will have a couple bird houses, and of course a great selection of new wooden birds. perfect for christmas ornaments and gifts! here's the invitation:
